Aqua Pure II Microneedling Treatment

AQUAPURE II Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that can improve the texture and overall appearance of your skin. It causes micro-trauma to the skin, triggers the body’s natural healing response, which in turn increases collagen production. The increased collagen smooths the skin and results in stronger, clearer and firmer skin with a healthy glow.

Key benefits of Aquapure II Microneedling
1. Skin Rejuvenation

Collagen has dominated the spotlight for several years now when it comes to anti-ageing and skin treatments – and it’s easy to see why! Collagen is essential for strong, smooth and healthy-looking skin. Using medical skin needling treatments we can instruct your body to produce more, stronger collagen: rejuvenating your skin and giving you a more youthful appearance.

2. Fine Lines and Wrinkles

Struggling with dull, ageing skin? Microneedling benefits include reversing some of the signs of ageing by reducing fine lines and wrinkles such as crows feet, smile lines, smokers lines and forehead creases. By provoking skin cell regeneration we can stimulate the production of new collagen and give your body the resources it needs to create new, stronger and smoother looking skin.

3. Enlarged Pores

Large pores can be a real problem. Not only are they unsightly, but having big pores can make you more prone to skin problems such as acne and blackheads. Microneedling benefits include helping to reduce your pore size, cleaning out any dirt, eradicating the acne-causing bacteria and giving you clearer, better-looking skin.

4. Acne scars

One of the lesser-known microneedling benefits is its ability to reduce scarring. Acne scars, burns, stretch marks and other scarring on your skin can make you feel self-conscious but microneedling could be the answer. By stimulating your body’s own healing response and delivering the substances it needs to regenerate deep into the layers of your skin, we can promote healing and reduce the visibility of old or new scarring.

5. Uneven Skin Texture

Hyperpigmentation is a common condition in which patches of skin become darker in colour than the rest of your skin. While it’s not a health concern, it can have a negative impact on how you feel about your appearance. This darkening occurs when an excess of melanin (the brown pigment that produces your normal skin colour) collects in the skin.

Using medical microneedling we can encourage your body to break down these deposits of melatonin and replace the cells with new, fresh and normal-coloured skin. Giving you back your clear beautiful complexion once again.

Precautions Before Your Treatment

Prolonged sun exposure can irritate your skin, so try to avoid the sun for at least 3 days before your treatment.

Avoid using retinoids, acids, exfoliants, topical antibiotics, or other products that can increase skin sensitivity for 5–7 days before your treatment.

Do not take anti-inflammatory medications such as ibuprofen, Motrin, or Advil for at least 3 days prior to your microneedling session. These will interfere with the natural inflammatory process that is critical for your skin rejuvenation.

Avoid alcohol, caffeine, high-sodium foods, high sugar foods, refined carbohydrates, spicy foods, and cigarettes for 24–48 hours before and after your treatment.

Post-Treatment Instructions

After microneedling, you should follow these post-treatment instructions:

  • Avoid sun exposure: Protect your skin from the sun to prevent sunburn and further irritation. Start applying sunscreen the day after your procedure.
  • Hydrate: Staying hydrated can help your skin repair faster.
  • Avoid makeup: Don’t wear makeup for at least 24 hours after your treatment.
  • Avoid sweating: Avoid activities that make you sweat, as this can lead to infection or breakouts.
  • Avoid exfoliating: Don’t use exfoliating products or toners with alcohol while your skin is healing.
  • Use a gentle cleanser: Do not wash your face for the first 8 hours after treatment. After that, use a gentle cleanser and a light, oil-free moisturizer.
  • Avoid skincare products with certain ingredients: Avoid skincare products with retinoids, vitamin C, alpha-hydroxy acids (AHAs), or beta-hydroxy acids (BHAs).
  • Avoid skincare tools: Avoid skincare tools like jade rollers, gua sha, and circulation-boosting tools.
  • Avoid ibuprofen: Don’t take ibuprofen during the healing phase, as it can interfere with recovery.
  • Avoid strenuous exercise: Avoid strenuous exercise for about a week after your treatment.
How many treatments do I need?

This depends on your skin concerns. Here is the general recommendation:

  • For acne scarring: 6 treatments (6 weeks apart)
  • For rejuvenation: 4 to 6 treatments (4 weeks apart)
  • For stretch marks: <>10 treatments (4 to 6 weeks apart)
How long will I have to wait before I see the results?

You may be able to see results after the first treatment, but significant changes in the skin will appear after 4 to 6 treatments. Skin improvements will continue over the next 6 to 12 months following a series of treatments, especially when combined with the recommended post-treatment care.
